Community people are lack of leadership in doing community development, lack of knowledge of child rights and gender equality awareness. Therefore, they need the skills of conducting community development and agriculture businesses systematically. Community still requires higher living standards, weak to do market networking for local products, needs to get more income from the small and medium-sized enterprises, and requires techniques and technologies to produce from raw materials to value-added finished products. Hence, Taung Chun Myae was founded to do the philanthropic in the community, local developments, child protection, to enhance the capabilities of potential youth from the community to become emerging youth leaders, to have more skillful women, gender equality, and to be able to support fairly when affected by the natural disaster.

Conducted Activities

  1. Led Saturday youth forum at the beginning of the forming organization.
  2. Cooperated environmental conservation activities with CSOs in raining season.
  3. Started working and coordinating with NGOs/INGOs for general activities in 2018.
  4. Organized child protection-related seminars to nursery and primary school teachers after joining child protection assessment training.
  5. Delivered bamboo handicraft and agriculture training.
  6. Organizational development-related activities – On Valentine’s Day, Taung Chun Myae collaborated with the Technological University art club, student unions and Myanmar Christian Fellowship of the Blinds (MCFB) to deliver reproductive health awareness with the theme “if we are together”.
  7. Organize Child literacy events

  9. Helping for Civil war and natural disaster (flooding, covid-19), giving environmental and gender awareness trainings

Implemented activities with partners organization

  1. Child Protection Assessment activities with Sympathy Hands Organization
  2. Civic and Voter Education “Let’s go Vote and let’s Check list Campaign” activities with MYNFREL organization.
  3. Civic and Voter Education Training activities with PTE: Pan Tee Eain Organization.
  4. Participated with PACE Organization in Election Observation activities.
  5. Cooperated with ALARM Myanmar for environmental awareness training in Kyae Tee, Hopong and Loilem township.
  6. Delivered Covid-19 response training for village volunteer, assisted in covid-19 checkpoint and distributed hygiene kit for the residents of quarantine center with Metta Development Foundation.
  7. Worked with UNICEF for distribution of CPI for children who are in quarantine center, training of Child Protection and GBV and built playgrounds for children.
  8. Participated in Plastic Campaign, planting trees, International Youth Day event and youth empowerment training activities with Our Lovely World Organization and Hnalonehla Innmaungmae Organization.
  9. Led SRHR project with ALLIANCE Myanmar.
  10. Community Led Covid-19 Response Project from July 1st, 2021 to December 15, 2021 in 10 villages of Loilem township in collaboration with Metta Development Foundation.
